Offshore Patrick Lemire said the Gulf of Mexico was a bit bumpier than it has been recently, but those anglers on the Capt. John caught red snapper to 15 pounds. Cut squid and Spanish sardines also put lane snapper, a 25-pound kingfish, a 36-pound ling and a 12-pound Warsaw grouper in the boat over rocks and wrecks in 100 feet of water. Port O’Connor

Offshore The partyboat Capt. John continues to crank out limits of red snapper to 16 pounds, reported Patrick Lemire. Rocks and wrecks about 50 miles from Galveston in 80 feet of water proved prosperous on squid, Spanish sardines and Snapper Slappers tipped with sardines. Lane and vermilion snapper along with a ling also were taken.
