Verizon to crack door to freer access for wireless devices
Verizon Wireless plans to open its network to devices other than the ones handpicked by the company, a move that could expand the features available on mobile phones and give the second-largest U.S. wireless carrier after AT&T a response to a phone software project led by Google.

Galveston Bay Guide James Plaag of Silver King Adventures reported limits of trout averaging 3 to 5 pounds on red shad Bass Assassins in 7 to 8 feet of water. Wind was howling out of the northwest. East Matagorda Bay
